To broaden students’ horizons and foster interest in learning, the Visual Arts Department arranged a visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Art Museum for Primary 3 students on 20 March. Through an exhibition tour and a blue-and-white porcelain style cyanotype activity, students learned about the design and artistic development of Yuan dynasty blue-and-white ware, as well as its production and spread.
Guided by the museum guides, the students strolled through the galleries and closely admired a variety of blue-and-white ceramics on display. After the visit, many students said they had gained a lot and developed a deeper appreciation and love for ancient Chinese art. This activity not only expanded their horizons but also sparked their interest in art.
